Nike Skills 1

Ganon instructing as Mason Plumlee (Duke), Zeke Marshall (Akron), and  Milton Jennings (Clemson) look on

In 2004 Nike started the Nike Skill Academies, they took the top 20 players in the United States and with the leadership of Kevin Eastman worked out these players on their basketball fundamentals for a week.  Ganon Baker started out as a skills trainer on that staff.  Now Nike runs 5 player positional academies, Deron Williams and Steve Nash host the top 20 point guards, Amare Stoudemire host the top 20 bigs, Vince Carter host the top 20 small forwards, Paul Pierce host the top 20 shooting guards, and Lebron James has the 80 players come together.  Ganon Baker has been blessed enough to direct the Deron Williams, Amara Stoudemire, and Vince Carter skills academies every year.  He is also the assistant HS director for the Lebron James Skills Academy.  Mike Morrison has been a skill trainer for Vince Carter and Deron Williams while working closely with Ganon.   The talent level, intensity, and teaching levels at these events are unparrallel.  Read more about these skill academies in our news section.
