Terry Drake
Terry Drake is a dynamic Basketball Coach and Skill Development Trainer. He is currently an Assistant Coach at Ramsay High School in Birmingham, Alabama.
During his three years at Ramsay, the Ramsay Varsity Boys’ Team has gone to the AHSAA Final Four twice and won the 4A State Championship once.
From 2008 – 2010, Coach Drake was also an Assistant Coach for the Ramsay High School Lady Rams. He served as The Director of Player Development. During those two years, the Lady Rams reached the Elite Eight.
Coach Drake is one of the SkillsChamp Sports Camp Coaches. SkillsChamp Sports Camp is the Official Camp of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Terry Drake is also a motivational speaker and has given motivational speeches and conducted motivational seminars for companies and youth organizations throughout the country. He enjoys sharing his message on how to develop one’s potential.
Drake’s no non-sense approach to coaching and skill development is why he is successful. His intensity, attention to details, and keeping his players and clients accountable is his formula for success. Yet one of the greatest things he enjoys doing, and understands is a MUST, is developing relationships. He is a big believer of the old saying, “A person don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
Drake is known to have an eye for video breakdown of teams, and analyzing their game performances and assessing their personnel. Drake‘s video breakdown and opponent analysis, as well as his on court teaching expertise has been a proven contribution to the Ramsay Boys and Girls Basketball Team.
During the off-season, Drake implements one-on-one training with local high school players. He is the President of Pinnacle Basketball, LLC and currently has over 30 clients, male and female, ranging from Middle School to College. He offers a wide-range of services such as: Personal Training, Group Training, Clinics, Skill Academies, Team Trainings, and more. Having worked several dozen camps as a staff trainer and lead trainer, Drake has worked with several hundred players across the nation in helping with their skill development.
Drake enjoys sharing with his players and clients his enthusiasm and commitment in regards to his craft. He consistently remains in a posture of learning. He strongly believes that success leaves footprints and he adamantly follows the footprints of those that have been and are where he is going. His philosophy for life is to always remain teachable.

In the off-season most basketball players do not know how to workout on their own.
