June 20-22, 2008 - Steph Wood traveled to Berkeley California to direct the Advanced Skills Camp for Girls at University of California Berkeley. Coach Joanne Boyle, Assistant Coach Charmin Smith, Assistant Coach Kevin Morrison and the entire Bears staff were on hand as counselors and facitlitators of the event. 30 girls traveled in from all over and participated in a grueling weekend of workouts, film session, NCAA classes, Basketball IQ test and much more.
Ashley Walker, Tasha Vital, Lauren Greif, and Alexis Gray-Lawson were also on hand as counselors and coached teams in 5 on 5 Competition.
"Steph Wood brought a passion for the game and backed it up with individual
skill development that was second to none. I saw kids who were genuinely
excited to be learning and embraced being challenged and pushed by Steph.
I was inundated with emails from campers who loved their experience and
said it was one of the best camps they have ever attended."
